Accessibility statement
Disclosio is used by law firm staff and by their clients. We want everyone to be able to use it, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control or zoom.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA for the Disclosio website, the client portal and the staff app. This statement covers Disclosio itself. It does not cover your law firm's own website or the documents in your matter.
What we have done
- Pages are built to work with a keyboard alone. The item you are on has a visible outline, and a "Skip to main content" link takes you past the menu.
- Form fields have labels. When something is missing or wrong, the message says what to fix and is linked to the field.
- Our colours are chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast levels. Status is shown with a word or an icon as well as a colour.
- Pop-up windows keep keyboard focus inside them, close with the Escape key, and return you to where you were.
- When you answer the questionnaire in Spanish, the page is marked as Spanish so screen readers use a Spanish voice.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, Disclosio turns off its animations, apart from loading indicators.
- Sign-in works with password managers, and you can paste your password and sign-in codes. There are no puzzles or memory tests.
- You can always choose files with a button. Dragging files onto the page is never required.
- Pages are built to fit small screens and to reflow when you zoom in.
- Automated accessibility checks run on our key pages each time we test a change.
Known limitations
- Documents that people upload, such as scanned statements and photos, are shown as they were uploaded. They may not work well with a screen reader.
- In the staff document viewer, each page is shown as an image. To read the text with a screen reader, download the file and open it in another program.
- Some staff screens have wide tables that scroll sideways on small screens.
- We are still testing every page with screen readers such as NVDA and VoiceOver. We will update this page as that work continues.
If you need another way to take part
If you are a client and part of Disclosio does not work for you, contact your legal team. They can arrange another way for you to give them your documents or your answers, or help you through the steps.
Report a problem or ask for help
If something in Disclosio is hard or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Email support@disclosio.com and include:
- the page or step you were on,
- what you were trying to do and what went wrong,
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use, if you know them.
We aim to respond within 2 business days. You can also ask your legal team to contact us for you.
